Discovery, research and development that benefits the customer
At THE PAULY GROUP, researchers from many different fields work together as an interdisciplinary team. This wealth of perspectives is decisive in creating new solutions. Eco engineering: what we do, in a nutshell.
For us, it’s very clear that technological and economic progress can be achieved only by innovation and by orienting our work on customers and their specific needs and problems. This is why research forms an important part of our day-to-day work. This is expressed on the one hand by our patents – e.g. for monitoring and control systems in natural water parks or analysing the metabolic stability of sewage sludge – as well as by development work performed by HUMUS- UND ERDEN KONTOR and research findings from our PLANCO-TEC lab.
Fit for the future: a selection of our eco engineering solution strategies.
Our kind of problem: how can valuable phosphate be recovered at a reasonable cost out of wastewater and sewage sludge from small- to medium-scale treatment plants and reprocessed for use by the agricultural sector? Specialists from THE PAULY GROUP are now working on a new technique with Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences (Suderburg Campus). This research is being funded through the Central Innovation Programme for SMEs (ZIM) set up by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
Another field of research: how can we further reduce the peat content in potting compost to protect wetlands and shorten transportation routes? What kind of ingredients does potting soil need so it can still offer the desired quality? We’re working on new formulations here.
And so we’ll continue to develop bioinspired methods and products in the future, and identify and seize the opportunities these offer.
Eco engineering at THE PAULY GROUP: solutions inspired by nature for everyone!
